    Beach Cave Moss

    The gallery’s competition for February 2016 was the 7th Annual “Abstracts” Art Competition. 2D and 3D artists (including photography) from around the world, were called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion in to the Gallery’s March 2016 online group art exhibition.

    Artists were asked for their interpretation of the theme “Abstracts” by submitting their best non-objective and non-representational art for this competition. The gallery received 1073 entries from 29 different countries from around the world and 41 different states.

    All winning entries will now be featured on the Light Space & Time website for the month of March 2016 and I am pleased to announce that my work, “BEACH CAVE MOSS” was one of the winners.

    Flotsam

    Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery’s competition for July 2015 was the 5th Annual “Nature” competition and 2D and 3D artists (including photography) from around the world were called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion in to the Gallery’s August 2015 online group art exhibition.

    The “Nature” theme was considered to be subjects of natural objects, wildlife, geographical, and natural environments for this art competition. The gallery accepted art on this subject that was either representational or abstract.

    This art competition and the submission process for the artists began in June 2015 and concluded on July 27, 2015. The gallery received 660 entries from 22 different countries from around the world, including Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Saint Maarten, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. In addition, the gallery received entries from 36 different states.

    Solano Beach Sunset

    Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery’s competition for October was the 4th Annual “Nature” Online Art Competition. International 2D and 3D artists (including photography) were called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion in to the Gallery’s November 2014 online group art exhibition.

    Artists were asked for their interpretation of the “Nature” theme by depicting the physical world and is considered to be anything that was not created by or has been substantially altered by man. Subjects that would encompass the “Nature” theme would include geographical subjects, natural objects, wildlife and natural environments.

    The art competition and the submission process for the artists began in September 2014 and concluded on October 27, 2014. The gallery received 627 entries from 16 different countries from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. In addition, the gallery received entries from 35 different states and Puerto Rico.

    The exhibition has been divided into two media categories. Painting & Other Media and Photography & Digital Media. The gallery also included Special Merit awards for outstanding art. Solana Beach Sunset, was printed on canvas and positioned 48 out of 627 entries. Many of the artists in the Special Merit group could have easily been included in the upper tier of all our winners, as their art was also exceptional.

    Blue Crab Surf

    Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery, an online fine art gallery representing an international roster of artists, (www.lightspacetime.com announced the results of their 4th Annual “SeaScapes” art competition.

    I am pleased to announce that my work, Blue Crab Surf, was included as one of the winners of the Special Merit Award Category – These are the artists and their artwork which the gallery felt could easily have been placed higher but due to the size constraints 647 worldwide entries in each media category, this art was placed in this special category. Any of the Special Merit art, in many cases, is interchangeable with the best art that we selected for the top tiers.

    Our art competition for August was the 4th Annual “SeaScapes” and 2D and 3D artists (including photography) from around the world were called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion in to the Gallery’s September 2014 online group art exhibition. The “SeaScapes” theme was considered to be any art with the subjects being scenes of coastal living, any ocean activities, seaside vistas and any related seashore subjects for inclusion into this art exhibition.

    This art competition and the submission process and competition for the artists began in July 2014 and concluded on August 27, 2014. The gallery received 647 entries from 19 different countries from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. In addition, the gallery received entries from 38 different states.

    Due to the volume of entries the gallery felt that it was necessary to create two (2) media categories. The media categories are Painting & Other and Photography & Digital. In addition, for this particular competition we have an overall Winning Artists Category, which is the “best of the best” and consists of the ten (10) best entries from the 2 media categories.

    We also included Special Merit awards and Special Recognition awards for outstanding art this month. The artists in either of these groups could have easily been included in the upper tier of our winners, as their art was exceptional.

    Labyrinth

    Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery, an online fine art gallery representing an international roster of artists, (www.lightspacetime.com announced the results of the 3rd Annual “CityScapes” competition.

    Artists were asked for their interpretation of the cityscape theme for the gallery’s July 2013 online art exhibition. Cityscape subjects were considered to be cities, towns, urban scenes and any related metropolitan subjects for inclusion into this art exhibition. The submission process and competition for the artists began in the May 2013 and concluded on June 26, 2013.

    The gallery received 494 entries from 22 different countries from around the world, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. In addition, the gallery received entries from 27 different states and Puerto Rico.

    My print Labyrinth (above), was selected as one of the winners in the Special Recognition Awards category.

    However a quote of John Steinbeck applies: “Unless a reviewer has the courage to give you unqualified praise, I say ignore the bastard”.

    Jack LondonLight Space & Time Online Art Gallery, an online fine art gallery representing an international roster of artists, (www.lightspacetime.com announced the results of its art competition for June 2013.

    This month’s category was “Figurative” and artists were asked for their interpretation of the figurative theme for the gallery’s June 2013 online art exhibition. “Figurative” subjects were to be figures, forms and faces for inclusion into this art competition. The submission process and competition for the artists began in the April 2013 and concluded on May 27, 2013.

    The gallery received 592 entries from 23 different countries from around the world, including Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and the Ukraine. In addition, the gallery received entries from 32 different states and the District of Columbia.

    I was notified that I had been awarded Special Recognition, (Painting & Other Category) for my recent ink drawing print of Jack London. AGAIN, invited to the wedding as a Bridesmaid and not a Bride: numquam desistas!

    I was pleased to be notified that I had been awarded Special Recognition for my recent print, Terra Firma.

    Artists were asked to submit their best interpretation of the theme “Nature” by depicting the physical world. “Nature” was considered to be anything that was not created by or had been substantially altered by man. Subjects included geographical matter, natural objects, wildlife and natural environments.

    The Gallery received 672 entries from 20 different countries from around the world. In addition, U.S. submissions included entries from 33 different States and the District of Columbia.

    Winter-Dunes-1I was Pleased to be notified on December 1st, 20012 by the Light Space & Time Online Gallery that I had been awarded Special Recognition for my recent print, Winter Dunes.

    Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery, an online fine art gallery representing an international roster of artists, (www.lightspacetime.com) announced the results of the 2nd Annual Seasons juried art competition for November 2012.

    Artists were asked to submit their Seasons art with their best interpretation of this theme by depicting the four distinct times of the year, along with scenes and activities associated with those seasons in their submissions. The submission process and competition for the artists began in the middle of October 2012 and concluded on November 26, 2012.

    The Gallery received 401 entries from 131 artists, from 13 different countries from around the world, including the Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Sweden and the United Kingdom. In addition, U.S. submissions included entries from 31 different states.

    I was pleased to be notified on September 1st, 2012 by the Light Space & Time Online Gallery that I had been awarded Honorable Mention for my recent print, Pua Aloalo Variation.

    Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (www.lightspacetime.com) announced the results of a juried Botanical art competition for August 2012. Artists were asked to submit their best botanical and floral artwork. The gallery considered botanical art to include flowers, herbs, leaves and plants. The submission process and competition for the artists began in the middle of July 2012 and concluded on August 28, 2012.

    The gallery received 619 entries from 177 artists, in 14 different countries from around the world, including the Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. U.S. submissions included entries from 29 different states.
