KOHOLA is the Hawaiian word for Reef. The image portrays one of the many hundreds of fish species that inhabit the reefs in the Hawaiian Island chain.
The creative challenge was to create a strong graphic high color image that is synonymous with the reef populations of the Islands.

Nature’s art found in the ocean beach areas of the world are some of my most favored locations. This specific location, Hanalei Bay, Kauai is my most favorite. The image content reflects the best of my mind’s remembrances.

John Adams
